For a time, I thought it was the end of my blogging days.  While I was having my compulsory (self-imposed?) leave of absence, my blogsite was archived or suspended allegedly on violation of the wordpress terms of service.  It was hard to accept at first but later, I began to accept that, hey I’ve had lots of fun doing it and maybe it was not meant to last.  And I was not alone in this predicament; there were also those of esteemed bloggers and friends like the mousepainter, the fisherman, the noble sage and the volcano who were similarly victimized.  But on second thought, I could not allow my works to be lost just that easily.  Not anymore.

Phoebe and Albert are informal settlers in a private land in Orange country.  For about six months, their family has gotten used to their neighborhood.  They could really feel the literal closeness of everybody residing within the lot.  What with fifty-nine families living in twenty-three makeshift houses.  And then came the shock of their lives. They were given a very short notice to leave the premises.  The entire neighborhood were forced out to the streets even before their petition to the courts could be heard.  They knew their ouster would be forthcoming.  But no sooner than they expected. And just not that easily.

Several bloggers have already had their respective blogs reactivated.  If they were able to do so, then so could I. 😀  As soon as I reported back to the office on Wednesday, the second day my blog was off, I emailed wordpress about four times within the day.  I only got a response that evening.  Before midnight, my blog was restored.  Whew! Persistence might have worked for me. 😀

While my blog and I were gone, there were several (few?) who were asking (and looking?) for me and/or my blog.  I supposed it was not only I who wanted my blog back and I truly, deeply appreciate that. IT means a lot to me.  Thank you very much. I’ll do my very best not to disappoint (hopefully?).

As for Phoebe, Albert and their three small kids, they’re looking for possible relocation sites to build their shanty with some help from the government.  So are their neighbors; they  may have parted ways and become physically distant, but the friendships made and ties that they have fostered would always bind them together. Chances are, they’d find their “homes” once again. Somewhere, anew, and hopefully, sometime soon.
